Privacy Policy
Effective date:
This Privacy Policy describes how QuoterIQ collects, uses, and protects information when you use our AI-powered life insurance platform — both as the operator of the Service and as a service provider to the insurance professionals who use it. Please read it carefully.
1. Who We Are
QuoterIQ ("QuoterIQ," "we," "us," or "our") is a software platform operated by QuoterIQ that helps licensed insurance agents and agencies quote life insurance products, screen carrier eligibility, manage leads, and communicate with their clients. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and platform (the "Service").
We provide the Service to insurance professionals (our "Customers"). Our Customers use the Service to serve their own clients ("End Clients"). This Policy describes our practices both as the operator of the Service and as a service provider to our Customers.
2. The Information We Collect
Account and professional information. When an agent or agency creates an account, we collect name, email, phone number, business name, and professional licensing information (such as your National Producer Number, state license numbers, and license status) needed to operate the Service.
End Client information entered by agents. Our Customers enter information about their End Clients to generate quotes and manage their book of business. This may include name, contact details, date of birth, gender, state of residence, and health- and lifestyle-related information relevant to insurance underwriting (such as tobacco use, medical history, height/weight, and similar factors). Agents are responsible for collecting this information lawfully and with appropriate consent from their End Clients.
Communications data. The Service includes calling and messaging features. When these are used, we and our communications providers may process call audio, call recordings, transcripts, message content, and related metadata (such as call times, durations, and phone numbers) to provide and improve the features you use.
Usage and device information. We collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and actions taken, to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Payment information. Subscription billing is handled by our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including quoting, eligibility screening, lead management, and communications features;
- authenticate users and secure accounts;
- generate analytics, performance summaries, and AI-assisted insights for our Customers about their own accounts and teams;
- provide customer support and respond to requests;
- process payments and manage subscriptions;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use End Client information for our own marketing.
4. Underwriting Intelligence and Pricing Data
The Service draws on third-party insurance pricing data and our own curated carrier underwriting intelligence to present quotes and eligibility guidance. Quotes are estimates for comparison purposes and are not offers of insurance or guarantees of coverage, rate, or approval. Final terms are determined by the issuing carrier.
5. Data Enrichment (Where Used) and FCRA
Where the Service offers optional data-enrichment features, any enrichment data is used solely to help agents organize and contact their leads. Enrichment data is not used to determine insurance eligibility, underwriting outcomes, or any decision about an End Client, and must not be used by Customers for any purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Enrichment data is kept separate from eligibility and underwriting workflows.
7. How We Protect Information (GLBA)
We treat the data in the Service as nonpublic personal information and maintain an information security program designed to align with the safeguards expected of financial-services providers under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). Our safeguards include encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest, access controls, authentication, monitoring, and vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information using administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.
We do not represent that the Service is "HIPAA compliant." Life insurance underwriting activities are generally not subject to HIPAA, and we describe our protections under the GLBA framework that applies to our business.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, to comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Customers may request deletion of their account data as described below; some records may be retained where required by law.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and role, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. Agents can update much of their account information directly in the Service. For other requests, contact us at quoterig@gmail.com. For End Client information held on behalf of a Customer, we will route requests to the relevant Customer, who controls that data.
10. End Client Notice
End Client information is entered and controlled by the agent or agency serving that End Client. If you are an End Client and want to know how your information is used or to exercise your rights, please contact the agent or agency you are working with. We will support our Customers in responding to such requests.
11. International Users
The Service is operated in the United States and intended for use by U.S.-licensed insurance professionals. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that information is processed in the United States.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for licensed insurance professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
